LSR Transformation

Class Name: LSR Transformation

Superclass - <Transformation>

Subclasses

This DRM class is concrete and has no subclasses.

Definition

An instance of this DRM class is a <Transformation>, specified by a 4 × 4 matrix, used to transform an object defined in one LSR SRF into another LSR SRF, when the original SRF does not have conformal points (<LSR 2D Location> instances) that shall be maintained as conformal points. (If the original SRF does have conformal points that shall be maintained, a <World Transformation> shall be used instead.)

Note that the 4 × 4 matrix may be explicitly specified as a <Local 4x4>, implicitly by a series of <LSR Transformation Step> components, or both, as long as the <<LSR Transformation Components>> constraint is obeyed.

Example

  1. Used when instancing a wheel to the axle of a vehicle.

  2. The <Translation>, <Rotation>, and <Scale> instances applied to a gun barrel when modeled into a tank turret.

  3. See <Transformation> for general examples.
