World Transformation

Class Name: World Transformation

Superclass - <Transformation>

Subclasses

This DRM class is concrete and has no subclasses.

Definition

An instance of this DRM class is a <Transformation> instance, specified by a <Location> component and a <World 3x3> component, used to transform an object defined in an LSR SRF into another SRF (usually, but not always, a non-LSR SRF).

This class appears on only one page of the DRM class diagram.

Example

  1. Used when instancing a house onto geodetic terrain (defined by latitude and longitude). This allows the <Location> instance to position the house and the <World 3x3> instance to rotate and scale the house.

  2. The location, and orientation of a grid defining a liquid water content layer referenced to the terrain.
