The SEDRIS Data Representation Model
APPENDIX A - Classes SM 3D Location |
---|
An instance of this DRM class specifies a coordinate for an SRF based on the Solar Magnetic Dipole SRFT.
See ISO/IEC 18026 for a complete definition.
SMD is a convenient SRF for ordering data controlled more strongly by the Earth's dipole field than by solar wind. It is used for representing magnetopause cross-sections and magnetospheric magnetic fields.
SMD is quasi-inertial in that it rotates with both a yearly and daily period.
See the SRM for additional details.
SRM_Spherical_3D_Coordinate | coordinate; | (notes) |

The coordinate field specifies the set of coordinate component values.
