Superclass |

Class |
· <DRM Season> |
||||||
Subclass |
· none |
||||||
Definition |
An object of this DRM class specifies the season of the year for which the attributed object is applicable. (See examples). Since the definition of a season of the year is relative to the hemisphere being described, a <DRM Time Interval> component is required to specify the data provider's definition of the specified season. |
||||||
Example(s) |
· Summer in the northern hemisphere, lasting from 21 June to 22 September (any year). This would be represented as in the following diagram. The <DRM Absolute Time Interval> component of the <DRM Season> indicates the span of time covered by the <DRM Season>. · Consider a <DRM Time Related Geometry> representing a forest in the northern hemisphere in winter, spring, summer, and autumn. The branch for summer has a <DRM Time Constraints Data> link object with a <DRM Season> component resembling that in the example above. |
