Same As Feature Face

Class Name: Same As Feature Face

Superclass - <Feature Same As>

Subclasses

This DRM class is concrete and has no subclasses.

Definition

An instance of this DRM class indicates that two or more <Feature Face> instances are the same <Feature Face>, so that the topologies they are a part of may be joined together by an application.

Example

  1. Consider a <Feature Model> representing a room, containing a <Feature Face> corresponding to a wall. Consider two instances of this <Feature Model> that are instanced to represent two rooms sharing a common wall. Each of the actual <Feature Face> wall representations in the <Feature Model> has a <Feature ID> with a <Feature ID Control Link>, so that when the room model is instanced, the instanced walls can be uniquely identified, and <Same As Feature Face> information can be provided to specify which representations actually correspond to the same environmental entity.

  2. A <Feature Face> that is shared by two <Feature> instances representing books placed on top of each other.
