FAQs

How does the Augmented Universal Polar Stereographic SRF relate to the Augmented Polar Stereographic SRF?

The AUPS SRF is a derivation of the APS SRF that specifies the values of two of the APS SRF parameters (scale and meridian) for use by U.S. DoD information systems and maps. The AUPS SRF relates to the APS SRF in much the same way that each of the AUTM SRFs invidually relate to the ATM SRF.

Where can users obtain further information on AUPS?

See the Spatial Reference Model (SRM) for additional details.
