APPENDIX B - Constraints
Face Ring Edge Consistency

Definition

The following restrictions apply.

  1. For each consecutive <Feature Edge> within a <Feature Face Ring>, and for each consecutive <Geometry Edge> within a <Geometry Face Ring>, the <Edge Direction> shall be consistent with the starting and ending nodes of the edge.

  2. A <Feature Edge> shall appear no more than twice in a <Feature Face Ring>, once with each orientation.

  3. A <Geometry Edge> shall appear no more than twice in a <Geometry Face Ring>, once with each orientation.

Rationale
